From customized ceremony music to stunning boho details, Hannah and Drew's wedding at Country Reflections was a celebration full of personality and love. Don't miss their sweet story and creative touches that made their big day unforgettable!
Back in 2017, Drew and Hannah were both new to Minneapolis and hoping to make connections. Like many couples, their love story began with a right swipe on a dating app--and they are proof that an introduction as simple as "hey" can lead to a lifelong connection.
Their first date was a bit unconventional, involving a four-mile run along the beautiful Lake Bde Maka Ska. Conversation came so easily that they spent hours after the run skipping rocks and discussing common interests like music, favorite bands, and video games. Both Hannah and Drew quickly put other matches on hold and planned another date featuring a home-cooked meal and an introduction to Hannah's dog, Barkley. Drew managed to win Barkley over quickly, and the couple eventually expanded their fur baby family, eventually including their dogs on their big day.
When it came to wedding planning, Hannah and Drew quickly realized they preferred to hire a professional to coordinate and arrange the details. They were instantly wowed by Summer from Orange Door Weddings, due to her organization and kindness, and made further vendor connections based on her recommendations.
The bride wore a lacy, relaxed gown with crochet detailing that perfectly captured her free spirit. For her hair, Metropolitan Salon & Spa crafted a braided half-updo with loose curls that framed a floral hairpiece by Alesa De Jager. For makeup, Hannah opted for soft, natural look that enhanced her radiance and coordinated with the peach blooms of her bouquet and floral decor.
The couple felt right at home from the moment they stepped onto their dream venue, Country Reflections, which proved the perfect backdrop for the couple's boho chic wedding--even though rain moved parts of the celebration inside. Hannah and Drew were thrilled with the flexibility of their vendor team to work with the weather, and their photographers were still able to capture plenty of beautiful moments in the venue's meticulously maintained garden and other outdoor spaces. Despite the sometimes dark skies, there was not a gloomy face in sight.

When it came to their September wedding, Hannah recalls, "We loved that we could incorporate so many things that made this wedding truly ours, you could not just swap in any couple in our place to be married."
Personal details included ceremony musicians playing "Concerning Hobbits" from Lord of the Rings as the couple walked down the aisle and a song from The Legend of Zelda for the recessional. At the reception, their coordinator and florist also teamed up to create custom name cards with guests' names handwritten on magnolia leaves--a keepsake many guests still have to this day!

As Hannah and Drew reflected on their big day, they agreed the best part was the love that surrounded them, from friends and family to the team that helped bring their vision to life--and, of course, for each other.
For couples currently planning their wedding, here is some advice from Hannah:
"Get a wedding planner, they are worth every penny. Summer and her team are rockstars and made the whole process painless and stress free. If you have the motivation to plan a wedding without one, then get your vendors set in stone early."
