About Us
The Pearl Ice Cream Parlor is most renowned for award-winning homemade ice cream and waffle cones, both made in-house daily at our downtown La Crosse parlor. We use real Wisconsin dairy and make our ice cream in small batches. Mixing in premium ingredients like fudge, caramel, nuts and cookies by hand makes all the difference! Many of the recipes we are famous for today were created by the late Oscar Peterslie, our original and beloved soda jerk.
We couldn’t have been happier with having The Pearl cater our wedding! They delivered the ice cream cart on time, set everything up completely on their own, and picked it up right on schedule. Everything was so seamless and stress-free for us.
We had six delicious flavors for our guests to choose from, and it was such a huge hit! It was a fun sweet treat for everyone to enjoy.

I booked the Pearl to cater my wedding at The Woods & Co venue in Pepin, WI. Even being a “long-distance” catering event, the pricing was affordable as compared to other quotes, and the team was super easy to work with. The ice cream cart arrived during dinner (on time), and the delivery driver set up the cart quietly and efficiently before leaving and returning for pickup two hours later. Upon return, he made sure the leftover ice cream was packed away in my cooler prior to departing. Besides the great service, the ice cream is good too! I received lots of guest compliments. – Ellie M.
