Summer weddings are all about unforgettable moments and fresh inspiration! From laid-back receptions under the tent to interactive guest experiences and colorful cocktails, this season's trends are all about blending comfort with celebration. Keep scrolling to see a few of the hottest ways to make your summer wedding feel stylish, fun, and uniquely yours.

1) Mobile Hat Bar

Including a mobile hat bar is a fun, interactive, and stylish way to wow your guests! Guests can design their own custom hats, choosing from trims, bands, pins, iron-on patches, and more. It's a unique way to offer a little shade from the sun and a personalized keepsake they'll want to wear again.

2) Fruity Summer Sips

A custom bar menu is the perfect way to bring refreshing flair to your summer wedding; think fruity, light, and refreshing. Some of our favorite options include Aperol Spritz, sparkling lemonades (with or without a kick), cucumber mint coolers, or strawberry basil vodka sodas. Add sparkling glassware and a citrus garnish or edible flower, and you've got a signature drink moment your guests will rave about all night.

Bonus tip: rent a cute mobile bar, like this sage green Vespa scooter from The Bitsy Bar, for the occasion!

3) Chic Tent Reception

A tented reception (or ceremony!) under sunny skies or twinkling lights is an easy way to celebrate in the great outdoors without worrying about the weather. Some venues already have permanent or seasonal tents, while others allow you to rent a custom tent to match your guest count, light-filled aesthetic, and overall vibe. From sailcloth styles to clear-tops that let in all that golden hour glow, there is an option for every couple.

4) Classic Cars

A classic car adds style, personality, and a touch of nostalgia to your celebration and wedding photos. Summer is the perfect season to take full advantage of this trend, especially for a sunny drive with the windows down. These effortlessly cool vehicles can be used for memorable entrances, fun photo ops, or a stylish getaway at the end of the night.

5) Lawn Games

Lawn games have been a staple for summer weddings for decades, and we love a little friendly competition! Whether it's cornhole, giant Jenga, ring toss, croquet, or bocce ball, these playful bring guests of all ages together.

For couples who want to make it even more special, consider personalizing your games! Custom cornhole boards with your names, wedding date, or favorite colors make for a great keepsake you can bring out for anniversaries, backyard parties, and years of fun to come. You can even design matching bean bags or signage to tie everything into your wedding style.

6) Pet Appearances

Pets are family, too, and we love seeing pets included in wedding celebrations! While this sweet trend works year-round, it's especially popular (and a little easier) during the warmer months when outdoor ceremonies and receptions offer a pet-friendly atmosphere.

There are a lot of moving parts during a wedding day, so we recommend hiring a pet attendant or professional service to help with transitions, care, and even outfit changes! Also, make sure to check pet policies with your venue ahead of time, and remember shade, water, and quiet breaks throughout the day--for yourself and your pet!

7) BBQ & Late-Night Bites

Whether hiring a food truck, bringing in a professional caterer, or opting for a more relaxed approach like a potluck or backyard-style barbecue, there are plenty of delicious ways to keep the party going.

Late-night bites are one of the most fun and crowd-pleasing summer wedding trends we're seeing this season. After hours of dancing and celebrating, guests love a second round of food, and casual favorites like pizza and BBQ are always a hit.

8) Fireworks

Fireworks are an undeniably magical ending to a summer wedding day. Sparkler exits are a classic and beautiful send-off, especially when captured on camera and video, while a mini fireworks show can feel like a grand finale to your celebration. And, hey, why not both? If you're dreaming of including fireworks, be sure to check with your venue about any restrictions, and always prioritize safety. Hiring licensed professionals is the best way to ensure a safe and spectacular show.

Bonus Trends!

Two sweet summer wedding trends in one? We love to see it!

Novelty sunglasses are not going away any time soon because they are practical and cute! Whether heart-shaped, retro, or custom with your names and date, these fun accessories bring personality to your wedding photos. Paired with an ice cream cart or sundae bar, guests will stay cool and comfortable, even on the hottest day. Indoor celebration with air-conditioning? Trust us, they'll still be lining up.
