Ashley and Carter's love story began in true Wisconsin fashion when they met while attending Oktoberfest in La Crosse back in 2019. The connection was instant as they spent an incredible day dancing the polka and enjoying cold beers while surrounded by mutual friends and good music. After several whirlwind years together, Carter proposed above the beautiful waterfall at Willow River State Park.

Ashley's bridal style mixed tradition with joyful pops of color and artful textures. Makeup By Sarah Koblitz enhanced Ashley's natural beauty with a subtle shimmer eyeshadow that touched on smokey at the outer lid and a soft pink-coral lip. For her hair, Hair Dressed by Kristyn styled a textured updo, first curling the bride's hair before securing it in a low bun with face-framing waves.
The day's palette included cheerful shades of peach, orange, red, coral, and navy. The bridesmaid's dresses included individual styles in one of three complementary shades, with each color represented evenly.
Chapters on the Horizon was the perfect local venue for the couple's bright, colorful, rustically elegant celebration. In addition to providing incredible indoor and outdoor spaces to celebrate, Chapters on the Horizon was able to answer questions, give vendor recommendations, and talk through the details throughout the planning process.
Ashley and Carter exchanged vows at an outdoor lakeside ceremony framed by the natural beauty of Wisconsin. They wed beneath a wooden arch, surrounded by their closest friends and family.

For her bridal gown, Ashley selected a stunning dress from Vera's House of Bridals. The trumpet silhouette fit closer to the body until flaring below the hip into a flowing train. Most of the gown featured delicate embroidery, at times combined with sheer fabric--most notably on the shoulder straps and chic illusion back.
The groom and groomsmen wore navy suits with crisp white undershirts and pocket floral accents. The groomsmen also wore coral-colored ties, while the groom wore a white tie with a muted paisley print.
Throughout the day, they captured even more beautiful moments around the venue and scenic grounds with the help of photographer Artina Becker of forHisglory Photography. Just a few of the backdrop opportunities included an oversized rustic swing, a blooming garden, and an absolutely swoon-worthy boat.
When asked about their vendor team, the couple wrote, "Our biggest cheerleader and organizer was Artina Becker, forHisglory Photography. Artina and her amazing husband Nate are a force to be reckoned with. They are so kind and fun to be around all while making you feel beautiful and keeping the bridal party and guest on task--exactly what you need in a wedding photographer."

The celebration continued with an indoor reception for dinner and dancing. Chapters on the Horizon's indoor spaces blend industrial charm with rustic elements, with highlights including grand wooden doors, vaulted ceilings, and ample lighting. A charming octagonal room framed both couple photos early in the day, and a dessert display for the reception. With a neutral brick backdrop, large windows, and a black and white checkered floor, it is a strikingly beautiful feature of the venue.

Ashley and Carter ended the night with fireworks and a glowing sendoff from their loved ones!
