When Britany and Vinay met online in 2020, little did they know they'd be planning a winter wedding in Wisconsin. Their ceremony at The Waterfront Cargill was a beautiful mix of coziness, modern elegance, and personal touches, featuring sparkling details and live music. Britany and Vinay never thought it would be possible to find true love through the Internet, but the couple did just that back in 2020. Britany had just moved to North Carolina from Wisconsin during the pandemic and initially struggled to meet anyone or branch out due to COVID restrictions. She decided to take a chance on a match, and everything clicked right from the first date. After hours of conversation that night, they have been inseparable ever since.

Britany had previously traveled to New York City and felt a deep connection with the area. She credits the vibrant city for helping her branch out and find the courage to explore the world as well as herself. Knowing how much the city means to her, Vinay planned the perfect proposal in Central Park after the Macy's Day Parade--professional photographer and all! Britany, of course, accepted, and they planned the perfect wedding in Britnay's home state of Wisconsin before venturing back to NYC for a snowy honeymoon that perfectly matched their energy as a couple.

Given Britany and Vinay planned their wedding from North Carolina, Orange Door Weddings played a crucial role in the process of creating a winter celebration that was dark, intimate, cozy, and romantic. With modern architecture, red brick backdrops, and plenty of room to dance, the Cargill Room at The Waterfront Cargill was the perfect location to host a twist on a traditional black-and-white celebration. Glittering details sprinkled throughout the fashions and the decor, including plenty of disco balls and sparkles on Britany's ceremony dress and her reception look.

For couples currently in the planning process, Britany and Vinay encourage prioritizing what you love and what makes you both happy--whether that's a formal affair or a more laid-back celebration, writing, "It's easy to feel pressured by others' opinions. Remember, it's your day, and the decisions should align with what feels right for you two." For them, that meant live music, a cocktail-style meal, and a cutting cake from Meringue Bakery. Maygen Lacey provided music for the reception and cocktail hour, with the Bluewater Kings band keeping the dance floor packed all night.

After the celebration wrapped up, guests stayed at the Charmant La Crosse, a charming local accommodation known for their friendliness, whimsy, and allure.
