In a world full of dating apps and online relationships, Logan and Matt met the old-fashioned way–through a mutual friend. After their introduction at a softball tournament, the couple spent the next few years getting to know one another and experiencing life’s challenges and milestones together. When they took the big step of purchasing a home, Matt saw an opportunity for a memorable proposal. Logan’s sister framed the moment, under the guise of a portrait in front of the new house, when Logan got on one knee and asked for forever.

Florist Wildflower & Wren designed artful and unique bouquets for Logan and her bridesmaids. The blooms echoed the day’s color palette, featuring white anemones, white roses, blush spray roses, and blue delphinium. Abundant greenery framed the florals, including eucalyptus, ruscus, and leatherleaf fern, giving the final arrangements a modern, asymmetrical feel.

Stoney Creek Hotel in Onalaska was the perfect all-in-one location for preparations, accommodations, reception, and yes, an outdoor February ceremony! Guests bundled up for the occasion, and the couple also provided hand warmers for the sunny winter vows, framed by a snowy landscape.

The wedding color palette embraced the colors of the season: white, steel blue, brown, and taupe. Matt and his groomsmen found their suits at Charlotte’s Bridal, with Matt dressed in a lighter shade of blue. Matt also wore a white tie, while his groomsmen wore brown satin.
Bridesmaids wore uniquely styled dresses of varying shades of brown, ranging from pastel to dark.

Logan found her dream dress, a dramatic mermaid silhouette, at Brandi’s Bridal. The show-stopping gown featured a sweetheart neckline, elegant off-the-shoulder sleeves, and—most notably—a sweeping, royal-length textured tulle train.
Hair and makeup, Love Is In the Hair and Marissa Clements, respectively, teamed up to complete the bridal look that Logan envisioned. Her makeup was natural and glowing, with a subtle, shimmery, smoky eyeshadow. Love Is In the Hair curled the bride’s hair, then artfully fastened a textured up-do, with loose curls framing her face. Pearl pins and a beaded-edge veil finished off the styling.

There were many highlights from Logan & Matt’s reception, including a lit marquee, catering from Pogy’s Catering, cake and desserts from Linday’s Bakery, and music that kept the dance floor packed all night.
The couple credits their day-of planner, Miss E Wedding Coordinator, for keeping everything on track. When it comes to planning a wedding, Logan advises, “Plan early! We were engaged for a little over a year, I feel like I tried to accomplish little things at a time. It helped me not feel so overwhelmed at the end.”

Photographer Dani Stephenson captured all the details, high energy, and whimsical moments of the day. She expertly navigated between the bright snowy landscapes, to the reception, and the most adorable couple portraits taken with the bellman cart in the hotel hallway.
Reflecting on their day, Logan praised Dani Stephenson’s advice as well, writing,
“I did not want to do a first look, but our photographer convinced me to do one. That was probably the most sentimental part of the day, my husband and I got to exchange our private vows. We took that time to spend together before our day really got started.”
